"Although when my husband and I purchased the Roto-Static franchise in 1990, I maintained my full-time job in the financial services sector, it didn't take long to realize that by combining our efforts, our dreams of financial success could be realized. So shortly after and with a leap of faith, I quit my job and Wally and I became true partners. Could we have done it alone? As much as I would like to think so, I seriously doubt it. "If anyone had told me a few year ago that I would own a franchise that specialized in cleaning & restoration services, I would never had believed it. After all, over a span of 25 years, I had always worked in senior management positions with excellent corporations. But one day, I woke up to the reality that job security was a term that had little or no relevance in the 1990's. So with few real options during the recession, I set up to join the ranks of the self-employed. A move that with the assistance of Roto-Static, has had a very happy ending. Today, less than 2-year after purchasing the Belleville/Trenton franchise, I was awarded with the 1997 Ontario Franchise Of The Year. Not only has Roto-Static provided me with the security that I did not have while working for others, I have also been able to offer my son and his wife the opportunity to join our growth-oriented business. My only regret...is that I didn't make a move years ago. If I can offer any advice to those considering the purchase of a Roto-Static franchise or any business for that matter...be very selective in who you are involved with! Although the services industry is indeed the place to be, unfortunately, it is filled with organizations that primarily gauge their success NOT on the prosperity of their franchisees BUT rather on the number of franchises sold! Which all too often leads to poor service and a very high failure rate for the poor souls who invest their hard-earned savings. Fortunately, for my family Roto-Static has one primary focus...the well being of every single franchise!
